Intro
An interactive vector illustration created in Rive, designed to dynamically transition between day and night according to the user’s local time. The animation also allows the user to explore different moments — past, present, and future — through a smooth timeline interaction.
Process
I built the illustration in Illustrator and animated it in Rive, experimenting with several color transition methods to simulate changes in light and atmosphere. To represent different times of day, I combined layered color shifts, blend modes, and time-based interactivity — letting users slide seamlessly between moments of the day and even navigate across past, present, and future states.
Goal
The goal was to create a stylized, responsive environment that could visually evolve over time without compromising performance. The client wanted something vibrant and intuitive, where the user could experience the passage of time in a single scene.
